Foxtons aren't all bad...

I have to say that, having competed with Foxtons for numerous years in my High Street Estate Agency business there is much that they do that is to the benefit of their clients although it could be argued that that is a side-effect rather than a prime driver.

At the end of the day, people have a choice and if greed is the sole motivator when choosing an estate agent it should perhaps come as no surprise when that same greed bites you on the bum.

The only way to combat the bitten bum feeling is to investigate the alternatives fully and not just take the word of the first person/company that says what you want to hear or strokes your greego.

Foxtons' motivation is no different to that of the disgruntled clients that complain about them, it just seems they could perhaps be a little more 'transparent' about their motives.

As a businessman, I have the utmost respect for Foxtons.

As a passionate property professional with a fair amount of experience in the Estate Agency industry I also understand some of the dissatisfaction people may feel but that is not against Foxtons, it is against the environment and general nature of the industry in which they operate and have adapted to better than any other. Don't blame Foxtons, blame the people who make the rules of the game they play and vote with your feet!
