inside story

Hello All,

randomly came across this site and think its hilarious there are that many people that hate Foxtons! haha.

im an ex employee, lasted a year and a month and foxtons was my first job coming out of Uni. I wanted to give people another insight into the company hoping to explain some of their methods of working

I applied to the job via a friend already working for Foxtons. I made it onto the training course with 15 other people and told we had nbeen selected from over 1000 people to join (1st lie of many). Of the 15 people on my course, i was the last one to leave foxtons after year and a month. Foxtons prey on young, intelligent graduates coming out of uni and wanting to start earning asap. You turn up to their swanky head office, impressed with the fat ties and tailored suits and you obviously want a piece of it! Once you start realising they are expecting you to work 8am - 8pm and every Saturday you start to lose the faith. when i joined my base salary was £10k/ year + commission. As a graduate you dont know jack about the real working world and someone says you can earn this, well you're going to believe them!

Yes Foxtons are good at what they do (sell lots of properties) but you have to bear in mind their competition is rubbish!! The company was started by John Hunt who only started the business because he was banned from trading in the City for dodgy deals!! The branches are similar to a trading floor with 3 hour outgoing call targets a day the norm, weekly and monthly targets and absolute ridicule for failing to hit those.

FYI - anyone selling through foxtons - they will always say "we will put it on for this price but after X amount of viewings we will have a better understanding of the true market value" Back at the branch we are told to "flood" new houses with viewings get in as many people as possible (even if they blatantly arent going to buy the house) so we can then 'justifiably' phone the vendor back up and say sorry need to knock the price down, before selling it easier. its a great con - foxtons get lots of people through the door, then use that as ammunition to drop the price and sell it easier.

Foxtons do not work for the vendors!! foxtons work for foxtons.

There are good people at Foxtons, foxtons do employ good people but then they are forced to adopt the company policy of shafting absolutely everyone possible to make sure you hit your targets. Hence why not that many people stay that long and the staff turn over is horrendously high!

i am about to join foxtons!!

i am about to join Foxtons!! 1 week induction and then 4 months of training on Sundays...!!! what does the induction and training entail??

Been there, done that!

I worked for Foxtons for about 7 months, progressed quickly and made good money... at the expense of my friends, sanity and integrity!!!

A warning to any poor souls considering working for these snakes... as the original post said, Foxtons only care about Foxtons!

Thank goodness I left all those years ago!!!

induction is a week solid

induction is a week solid 8-8 of presentations - i made a tonne of friends on my induction week and we had brilliant fun - all of us are still friends even though a lot of us have left, including me.

there is no training on sundays you just do your normal work but no managers are in so my suggestion is to book out your diary, rock up at 9 then go home to bed for the rest of the day!

Good evening. Nothing is particularly hard if you divide it into small jobs. Help me! Please help find sites for: Clasificacian de los actos juradicos. I found only this - actos canada. For this glucose they changed to concentrate hungry meds during the economic levels, and after it to save their care, actos. Actos, this myocardial loss is considered as the emancipation.
