No one is forcing you to use foxton's

Sometimes I think it is us, the Great British public that is to blame here.
Like most company's, Foxton's are in business to make money. You can't blame them for that.

Yes they tell the odd white lie now and again(don't we all) and harrass you about properties(which is there job), but surely it is down to the public to decide wether to use them or not. I mean it's not like we havn't had enough warning, what with the whistlblower programme, the endless bad stories told about them and the news about the way they have treated their staff(now old staff) and people they listed properties for in the states, where they have now gone bust!

The choice is simple, if you don't want to use them to rent or buy a property then don't and use another agent. It may be difficult if your looking in an area where they are based as they tend to list about 50% of the properties, albeit most of them over valued in their attempt to try to monopolise the market (they are a business after all).

But if your looking to sell or let a property then it appears that the carrot they dangle is too good to resist. Afterall you can't disagree that the website is quite good and they certainly go about marketing their company and their properties the right way!So if they offer to get you an extra £50k or £30 per week more then every other agent and charge you a higher fee for it, surely it is then down to the individual and wether they are greedy enough or not to go for it, even after knowing all the bad stuff about Foxton's.

I think that there will always be people that are peeved off with estate agents after all everyone gets emotional when it comes to their homes and their money, but the good thing about Britain is that we have the right to make our own choices, but of course by that point it could already be too late!
