How sad must you be?
Wow!!
I can not beleive this wedsite actually exists! And that people are actually sad enough to belong to it!
How pathetic must all your lives be that you feel the need to come on here and 'slag off' an ESTATE AGENTS!
I know that the true 'Foxtons Haters' will be reading this frothing at the mouth after reading my thoughts but come on, step away from the screen for a minute and ask yourself 'why the f*ck am I reading this'. Then after you convince yourself that you're not a loser, please, please ask yourself again!
Your lives me be so boring that when you return from home from a busy day at work, make yourself something to eat and then chill out for the evening, you have nothing else better to do that come on here! Oh Dear...
I love the way that all the comments posted on here are mostly aimed at how Foxtons rip people off and bad stories etc. So what you're saying is that you don't have a backbone. Your admitting that you let an Estate Agent take advantage of you and the only way you think you can get your own back is by coming on here? Do none of you people have mouths? No Foxtons agent can make you do something you don't want to, everyone has a choice and if you're stupid enough to fall for their gab then you deserve everything!
Now please, stop coming on here and sort your lives out! Foxtons is a business and of course there are going to be things that don't always go smoothly but is there really the need for a website??
Now I'm sure that one of you will try and reply to this with a smug reply to try and get the approval of your fellow idiots on here but rest assured I will not be logging back on to see the reply.
So I ask you all again, please ask yourself why you are reading this and then log off. You will thank me for it, honestly!

YES YES YES
You took the time
We won't thank you, - you
If you don't like it..
The reason why.......
how sad must YOU be
Amazing
...how stupid some people are. He probably spent an hour writing that - too much time on his hands. Also probably works for Foxtons.
works for foxtons
The person who wrote this clearly works for foxtons !
Still trying to get a deal ! Shame on you !
I agree..
Choose wisely...
What a bunch of sad people... have you got nothing better to do than slag Foxtons???
Some of their business practices may be cosidered unethical and forceful, but you have one thing on your side before you decide to do business with Foxtons:
CHOICE.
If you dont like them, don't use them. That's what makes this country great, we have the freedom to choose.
Who said this country is
Logged back on replied...
Well, here I am again. Logging on again purely because I am curious to see what responses I got and after reading them have to admit, I'm very disappointed. I was expecting a selection of witty & sarcastic replies but all I got was rubbish!
Come on! I know you lot can do better than that! You obviously spend half your lives moaning on internet forums so I know you have something better than what I have just read.
Just to clear things up…
Yes, I’m on here again but not because I am sad like you and not because I have too much time on my hands but because it’s so funny to see you all getting irate about my last comment.
Here’s a fact for you and I promise this is true…
Everyone on here is single and if they aren’t, their partners don’t know they are on here.
So my advice again. LOG OFF!
hahahahah i have to admit i
Foxtons Joker
If you don’t work for them, then you have serious issues my man. Go get a life and leave us hatters alone. That’s the great thing about this world and life in general. If you don’t like something............ie... Foxtons, you are allowed to speak out against it. Foxtons have been taking advantage of vulnerable or trusting people for several years and that’s why they hate Foxtons.
Do us all a favor and jog on or look in the mirrior and you will see you are a lot worse than we are. Peace and love baby.........My thoughts...
I worked for Foxtons for 5 years and always enjoy looking at the mis-informed comments on this website, but everyone is entitled to their opinion. I left in December and now work in commercial property, but I thought I should point out a couple of things: Times have been very tough for the big F over the last year - a depressed market is not idealm for their business model. The will survive the rest of this recession, either by selling a stake of the company for a reduction in their bank debt or by BC Partners making a £50M or so cash injection. You forget that BC's portfolio is worth 10's of billions of dollars and Foxtons are a very small investment relative to their other purchases.
Once Foxtons do survive the downturn I can assure you the following will happen: The company will expand rapidly and make huge profits, no later than 2011/2012. Why you might ask? Well lets assume that the market is shit for another 8 months, just into 2010, meaning that by this point 30-40% of the local agents have been forced to close. When the market comes back it will happen fairly quickly, mainly due to the up and coming Olympics which will give a massive confidence boost to the UK's economy - confidence drives the property market. This coupled with more liquidity provides the basis for another boom. Foxtons business model is superd in a rising market and this couple with human natures greed will ensure they sell 100's of houses for ever increasing sums. This also coupled with the fact that 40% of their competition will have gone under will ensure them a massive market share.
In 2007 they made £40M profit off £140M revenues. I reckon come 2013/2014 they will be turning over £200M +, with profits of over £60M. They will also have opened at least 10-20 new uber offices. I mean they opened the 6000 sq ft Camden office mid-recession (making the adjacent Bairstowe Eves look like a pimple in comparision!) and last month the new 5 story notting hill office. I love their arrogance in the face of a recession - they would not do this if the company was going under. I know they also have sites all over London, that they sit on and wait for the right time to open. Mark my words, Foxtons are coming.
Oh and you agents outside of London aren't safe either. They also have plans (within a year or so) to push out of London - I know where but I aint saying. Im sure most of you haters will ignore this article, but I am not an ignoramus writing without knowledge - I know the business and I know how bloody good the directors and the majoirty of the staff are that work there. Good luck guys - Ill be rooting for ya!
customer service
FOXTONS drive us to this!!
After having the most brilliant experience with Foxtons - they found us tenants in 4 days - everything signed and sorted
That was brilliant, sadly though, it went downhill from there
Within 4 weeks they have been incompetent at:
Yesterday I gave them notice and will no longer be dealing with them.
Foxtons take normal every day folk and turn them into stressed out angry people - I am now calm and less stressed.
I am a new landlord and I have learnt by my lesson - a big name does not always mean a big service - in fact it means the opposite.
Looking forward to being rid of them forever and I can now move to Australia once and for all
Byyyeeee
LOVE ACTUALLY
SINGLE MUM AND 2 KIDS.......
I think that you need to
I think that you need to speak to the owner of the property above yours. He/ she is the person that instructs Foxtons what to do. This person should pay those repairs or their insurance company. I am not defending them, but they are not going to send anbody to repair anything if the owner of the flat doesn't pay. They manage the property the way that the Landlord wants them to manage it. Do you know your neighbour( the owner of the flat). this is a really horrible situation. I hope someone helps you soon. Good luck!
How sad must be? - missing the point!!
You obviously have not used Foxtons before, like all of us, and made buying a house a terrible and costly experience!
Foxtons GAZUMPED me and after I increased my offer to win the house (legal fees and reports alrady were paid for (good timing on Foxtons part) then stung me out of £3000 for missing appliances that they swore would be left in the property.
The Person in question, GINA, ducked and dived my calls for MONTHS until I had to give up trying and start enjoying my first property.
The comments made such as "Do none of you people have mouths?", and "you don't have a backbone"... well why would a 'business person' working for Foxtons deliberately and conciously RIP OFF buyers and then avoid 50 calls and ignore 50 voicemails over the space of a few months?
Whats IS sad is reading posts from Foxtons employees trying to defend their actions!
Give us all our money back and then we will think of Foxtons as a normal estate agent!
Love and Peace
Perhaps this guy should
Perhaps this guy should create his own "We cannot slip our tongues any further up Foxtons rear end" Web site.
The fact is that most people in this country have not worked in an estate or letting agents, and places like Foxtons are paid to represent these peoples interests, unfortunately it seems pretty clear that Foxtons as a company are simply interested in their own interests and no one elses.
The great thing about websites such as this one ending up third on google search is that people will now be able to see this information and build a much more balanced opinon of a company such as Foxtons, who to be fair are regarded as the most horrific agents in the country and might as well get a full time slot on BBC's Watchdog. Some people like cut throat, personally I have always used small well established independants with more than 20 years experience, I like my property manager to be balding with grey hair soft eyes and a dry wit. Much better than Uni graduates being paid minimum wage with no life experience let alone sales or lettings.
GAZUMPING!
Can all people out there who get gazumped stop bloody wingeing! It happens in a competitive market and normally because you have offered less than the market value of the property. Secondly, the agent DOES NOT work for the buyer. Funnily enough that is why you DO NOT pay for their services, when the vendor pay £1000's if not £10,000 for them! Why should an agent not get their client the maximum price? The extra £20,000 make bugger all difference to their commission - they do it for their client and their pride!!!
SO STOP whining, if you like a property and it is hightly sought after, move quickly, hand over solicitors details on the day the deal is agreed and pay for your survey on that day. On top of this arrange to view the house when the vendor is there if you can and get them on side. If they have met you and like you and TRUST you they will NOT gazump you 90% of the time.
The trouble is most people see the house of their dreams, take 2 weeks to make a decision, then spend 1-2 weeks getting their solicitor instructed, use a really shit one, and don't get a survey booked for 2-3 weeks. IT HAPPENS EVERY DAY! If you saw an amazing item of clothing and you had the money to buy it, you would not dilly dally for weeks, so why do it with the most important purchase of your lives.
First time buyers are excused from this, as they have a right to be a little advice, but please take the above as gospel - it will save you time and potentially a lot of money.
An ex-Foxtons estate agent....love to all you haters.
x
It is not right!!!!!!
I rent from Foxton,s, I have a life, I have many friends and feel that anyone being ripped off and cheated by ill bred, bad mannered, condiscending, greedy jump starts with the sophistication of a spitting Lama have a right to say what they think.
This chap or chappess who commented above doth protest to much, I wonder why LOL. What a sad joker, by the way do you get paid by Foxton's as their defense lawyer? What am I talking about, they do not sound like they have the brains to be a lawyer!!!!!!!!!!
I only have this to say, rent a flat, find out you are extremely ill, you live alone in London with no family support. Being sick everyday, lose 2 stone in weight, travel hundreds of miles for treatment because you want to be close to family. Ring Foxton's show them your medical notes, explain you want to vacate property due to illness, explain your parents have already lost one child. Beg, cry and get kicked in the teeth.
All Foxton's did was laugh in my face, apparantly according to property management that is my problem, their money is more important. So I stayed, alone. My health worsened, chest infections, allergies, wheezing etc etc. My immune system just got worse and worse. My bedroom has NO ventillation which caused condensation, which caused damp which caused mold. 6 times I asked for key to open bedroom door fully, 18 months later I still do not have a key.
And believe me it gets a lot worse, but one will not go into detail as it may upset the secret agent / defense lawyer who commented above. The poor guy / gal must feel terrible guilt underneath their facade, why else would they have felt the need to comment. And lets face it, none of us want to upset anyone from Foxton's as they are such sensitive people. Please Sir or madam attitude do tell me your thoughts as I find them extremely interesting, and more importantly entertaining!!!!! Please watch this space as one adores this site and wish to continue placing comments as I am a sad, sad individual that has nothing more to do with her life, well, apart from trying to live it!
I wrote the original post...
Hello all,
Still very disappointed with the standard of replies! And to clarify one more time...
Yes, well done all of you that suspected I work for Foxtons, I do.
I'm still on shock people come on here though, I mean come on.
Have you noticed how many people on here actually agree with me?
Just for your knowledge, my paycheck this month (with all tax deducted) was £6150.
So despite all comments about our company etc etc blah blah!! I would just to say....
THANK YOU!
It's obviously down to people like you that I am so sucessful. Oh no, wait a minute, that's wrong isn't it? Surely a website like this is having a serious effect on the amount of business we are doing?
NO - NO ONE CARES ABOUT YOU OR THIS SITE SO LOG OFF!
Scary! To much information.
Thinking of renting through foxton's ,but lots have warned me off. What concerns me is ,if someone prints off that last comment by that foxton employe, then sends it to their head office plus Press, and various other Authorities... just maybe after declaring to all what they made in black and white on here or close to it, will pin point the culprit.as other comments from innocent haters! don't matter ...as they're not in danger of losing their jobs from foxtons, due to replies to random gossip and hate campaign websites.
Be careful how arrogant one gets, Could land you in deep water. Would hate to be YOU! Right now.
1) To be telling
1) To be telling people your salary shows how much of an idiot you are.
2) You can't spell so you won't get far in life.
3) Dealing with Foxtons at the moment and its an abolsute nightmare...Full of lies.
4) If Foxtons are the sole agents...one clearly doesn't have a choice.
is that all you earned in a month
you need to change agents. If you are happy earning £6150 per month then you are selling yourself short or Foxtons are ripping you off
hahahahah
I got paid more than that the month I had two weeks off in Seychelles....
mug
Reply to squeekyclean.......
Look how one wishes to live in his fantasy land.
Let's be honest, with English as poor as you just displayed in your previous post, I think it's quite clear you don't earn more than that per month. I'm 21 and earn that and you more than likely work in a shop, McDonalds or Burger King are the likely suspects and you drive a scooter to work that your Mum bought you.
I only wish I could enjoy the luxuries of 'Seychelles' :-S. Just to clarify, you state you earned more than £6,000 in the two weeks you were work, meaning that you probably net more than £10,000 per month. Yet, you choose to holiday in 'Seychelles' - oh dear. Silly boy.
I'll await the reply about how glamourous your job but if you have any sense you'll just ignore this and move on - we all know you're full of sh*t.
Ps: please do not refer to me as an item of crockery. (most likely a chav/asbo)
