As an ex-Foxtons 'Bitch' or Move Consultant (Whatever that means?) I can tell you that Foxtons is evil. Avoid them at all costs.
Sign up with Foxtons if
- A) You want to be called several hundred times a day.
- B) Want a new Mortgage with Alexander Hall (Oh Yes, their subsidary mortgage broking firm based on the same floor as the guys trying to get you to sign up) and
- C) Take satisfaction in knowing that whilst you live a life of mysery receiving ENDLESS phone calls from Twats in cheap suits the Management Teams enjoy weekends away in Italy, Snowing etc at your expense.
You should work for Foxtons if you like being shouted at 14/15 times a day (for every hour that your there) because you're not phoning another 500 people that HATE Foxtons. In the 4 months that I stayed (Trying to seek alternative employment):
- I did not speak to 1 Happy Customer.
- The Brand is FAKE and the staff are brainwashed.
- The normal people leave ASAP.
- Foxtons is demorialising.
- The Recruitment Team are Liars
The entire experience is just 'unique'. I was young (17) and very stupid. For those that are reading thinking... "Maybe Foxtons is for me" consider this:
- A) You will have NO life outside of Foxtons.
- B) Your old friends will stop speaking to you.
- C) You'll need to leave pretty much instantly because who on earth is going to take someone on that has been working for Foxtons longer than 6 months?
- D) "You will earn 40k in your First Year as a Move Consultant" - Absolute rubbish. 1(of 350) Move Consultants go home with Pro Rata 40k (The others get much, much less)
- The Cars are RUBBISH. A Clapped out old Porsche with a torn sunroof.
- E) You will be called 'Boys and Girls' throughout the duration of your employment at Foxtons.
- F) JUST DON'T WORK FOR THEM.

let's not be too over the
let's not be too over the top! i am also an ex-employee and i'm not denying it was a gruelling experience - but what shocked me was as soon as i left, employers seem to love the fact the you have worked at foxtons as its so renowned for the "cut-throat" reputation... so put it down to a memorable experience! the only way is up now - you've had the worst of the worst, anything else from now on will be better!
Ex Fxtns here also...
Former HQee here. You know the old convalescent homes used for miners in need of somewhere to recover from the terrible conditions of working in the mines? Well, given the seriously high turnover of staff at Fxtns I wonder if it would be a good business venture to set up a convalescent home for ex-Fxtns employees to recover from their experience at the company?
Just a thought.
Oh God
