Telegraph: MPC dove Blanchflower to vote for rate cut

Telegraph: MPC dove Blanchflower to vote for rate cut Blanchflower indicated he would be calling for interest rates to be cut by more than 25 basis points at next week's Monetary Policy Committee meeting. Mr Blanchflower said his earlier forecast that house prices could fall by 30pc was looking optimistic and that the jobless total could soon touch two million as construction companies and banks lay off workers. The US-based academic, who has called for lower interest rates for 10 months in a row, said the UK could learn from Federal Reserve's prompt action and interest rates should be much lower than 5pc as a matter of urgency.

EX FOXTONS EMPLOYEES: URGENT HELP NEEDED

Did you know that for every 10 people sleeping rough on the streets at night, 9 will be found to be ex employees of Foxtons. This little-known fact has come to light

following investigations into the mental and physical breakdown of the individuals

The plot thickens

Breaking News: Reports today suggest Close Brothers Banking have been unable to syndicate the Foxtons buyout loan of more than £270m. Following on the heels of the Rothschilds debt advisory appointment, the signs are now really ominous for Foxtons. Is this the beginning of the end? One can only hope so.

Financial Difficulties?

Today (26th Aug 2006) N.M Rothchilds have been appointed as debt advisers to Foxtons. This, in itself does not indicate anything unusual. However their line of credit at their preferred bank is understood to be at an end also. I believe todays developments are ominous and ther will be a root and branch shake up - almost certainly some closed offices.

the buggers aren't handing over my rent

I'm smelling a big rat. Because I have fantastic tenants, I've opted to keep the toxic Foxtons as my managing agents for my flat in central London. The tenant pays the rent on the knocker each month, but Foxtons takes up to a week to transfer the funds into my account.

Relationship to Lenders and ensuring surveyors value up to required figures

I am a Chartered Valuation Surveyor who has worked in the London market for the last ten years. I, along with may surveyors have been "banned" from going to certain offices and Foxtons have attempted to create a blanket ban against me working for ANY lender. As many people know, Foxtons have a commercial relationship with Alexander Hall mortgage brokers. I understood that Foxtons owned Alexander Hall but I can find no verification of this on the websites.

2 years commision

My property has been let by Foxtons for 2 years and 2 years commission has been deducted at scource - this isn"t right is it

Dominic Cocklin Lettings Manager at Canary Wharf

Dominic Cocklin used to be a porno star, he was sacked from that. Probably not the first time he has been shafted!!

Foxtons are open about their approach

  • Foxtons represent the fee-paying Vendor and believe that it's their job to get as much as possible for the houses/flats that they sell.

See how well they did in the US of A - Chapter 11 Bankrupt !!

Funny how the Americans spotted their scam so quickly and we suckers in the UK continue to get in line for the killing...

Foxtons LEGAL BATTLE

A large legal firm (name removed) has been preparing to take legal action against foxtons and Alexander hall since sept 06.

Ditched Foxton's Yesterday........Pheww A Relief

Firtly my sincere apologies, this might be a bit long winded. It is definitely worth a read! If you are thinking of letting your property through Foxtons, taking 20 mins to read this will hopefully save you time, money and lots of frustration!!

Can Foxtons Cope With A Slowing Market?

Foxtons Estate Agents is dependent on a competative property market, in a slowing market, as we are currently in, they're bullish attitude towards property prices will no longer work.

And for all who say this is not true of foxtons look at this!!!

Foxtons faces bankruptcy and lawsuit

Discount real estate brokerage company Foxtons, which terminated most of its 380 employees last week, announced this week that it will file for bankruptcy and plans to hand over its active listings to another brokerage company. Also, two former employees filed a lawsuit Thursday charging that the mass layoff violated federal law.

The former employees who were part of the layoff filed a lawsuit this week charging that Foxtons did not provide sufficient notice and benefits to a group of 350 employees terminated on Sept. 26.
