linking up with the new tenant of your previous property to try to get your deposit and to combine stories
Submitted by visitor on Mon, 11/01/2010 - 23:09.Same old story. Long term let - over 4 years. Moved out early December, still no penny. Couple of missing items - agreed with landlord, all ok. But new things keep popping up, outside the checkout and suddenly need to be checked witht the new tennant.
I met up with the new tennant, combined stories and informed F*xtns. Quite shocking how they misinformed him as well. All kinds of verbal promises in order to rent it out, but no follow-up after signing up.
Got the feeling the landlord is misinformed as well and possibly over-charged for zero service. Wouldn't be surprised if they charged him for refurnbishment etc. since he lives abroad and hardly ever comes to the UK. F*xtns is probably very selective in forwarding communication to the landlord and vice versa.
Therefore I am thinking about informing the landlord directly as well, hopefully this will endorse payment. I am not fully aware of the new deposit scheme and whether it can support my case? Anybody able to refer a good solicitor (London)?
The banks who have bought a stake in this company have really not done proper due diligence. With so many complaints, at some point the attritrion rate will exceed the acquisition rate of new customers.
Sad they don't realise that with a bit more after service and honesty they could do much better. I hope they go bankrupt.
btw does anybody know why all these F*tns guys have this repulsive semi-mohican hair style?
