I don't buy that: it would mean the GENERAL PUBLIC TAKING RESPONSIBLITY FOR THEIR OWN BEHAVIOUR. You're going to be suggesting that people taking out mortgages that they can't afford to pay off are to blame, rather than the big bad banks next.
