I have spoke with a very helpful lady in foxtons and it turns out my deposit was released to the landlord the day I handed in my notice and not paid to another account as I had been told. I spoke with Tenancy deposit advice and they advised me this was the norm just to cover bills etc but I should speak with a solicitor regarding the delay in getting my deposit back.

Im now contemplating taking this further on my solisitors advice.
